A short ice-breaker question kicks off each meeting, followed by an opening prayer. The next half hour is devoted to reading and discussing verses from the Gospel of John. The group then transitions into sharing experiences and opportunities centered around meeting new people in our immediate area as we work to determine the greated need facing our community. Life Group lasts no more than an hour and fifteen minutes. We actually time each element so we stay accountable! Weekdays get busy very quickly, and staying mindful of everyone's time is paramount.
Kids are more than welcome to join at Life Group! They may join in the conversation if they choose, but we also have coloring and activity sheets to occupy little minds. Our furry pup Maggie is an older dog who would love to meet new friends!
You are more than welcome to bring your own Bible, but rest assured that we have plenty to go around if you would like to borrow one. The New Revised Standard Version pew Bibles are provided.
Absolutely! No Life Group meeting is complete without an array of snacks and drinks to choose from. Participants bring items potluck style to share with the group. Feel free to bring something if you'd like, but you are under zero obligation to do so.
Our ice-breakers are short questions that get everyone thinking and talking. It changes each Wednesday, and the idea is to learn something new about the people in the room- you might find you already have things in common! Past questions have included:
- What was the first pet you remember owning?
- If you could own an exotic animal, what would it be?
- What's your earliest childhood memory?
There's always something new at Life Group!
