2026 CASA Summer Camp
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Philippians 4:13
This summer, we will learn about 5 different countries that have previously hosted the World Cup event, and the 3 that are hosting this year - as we watch our own Atlanta gear up as a host city! This will be a fun way to learn about geography, culture and the people that make up our world. (Your child does not have to love soccer to enjoy these activities, but it will be subtly intertwined throughout the summer.)
We will practice living our Summer Bible Verse as we challenge the children to try, and to learn about, new things. Mornings in Week 3 will include Vacation Bible School, and we will provide opportunities throughout the summer for the children to participate in community outreach activities to put the practice of being the "hands and feet of Jesus" in our neighborhoods and world.
Register for 4 or more weeks by April 24th and you will receive 50% off your $100 registration fee!
Financial aid through a limited number of partial scholarships may be available for needs based requests. Please reach out to the Director for an application.
More about CASA Summer Camp!
We have offered summer camp at the Christian After School Academy for the past 18 summers. Our mission is to provide a safe, fun learning environment for children while school is out. We believe that the world is our classroom and the opportunities for experiential learning are unlimited in the summer camp environment. The best part is that most of our kids don't have any idea how MUCH they are learning during their summer "break" by attending our camps!
Our summer camp activities are designed for rising 1st - rising 5th graders. Our sister program of the church, John Knox Preschool, offers a half day summer camp for rising Kindergarten children. Adding lunch and afternoon activities at CASA are an option, based on availability. Kindergarten campers will not be joining the CASA campers on field trips (including the pool), but will have special activities on campus.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Have questions about CASA Summer Camp? We have the answers!
We are open from 7:30 AM - 6:30 PM. Camp activity hours are from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
We believe structure is the key to avoiding frustration and behavior challenges with children. Campers have the opportunity to choose some of their activities, understanding that there are sometimes parameters (age and group size). See below for the daily schedule.
Our summer camp staff is made up of certified teachers and college students. All have had background checks through the national FBI database, are current in CPR & Basic First Aid, and have completed our Camp Counselor Training Program.
All field trips are included in the base cost of participating in camp. We try to coordinate our field trips with our weekly themes, but sometimes we just go to local parks and have fun!
Yes! Encourgaing our children to be active in education helps prevent the "summer slide", which is the loss of academic skills and knowledge that happens when students are on summer break and away from school. The best part of summer camp is that the kids have so much fun, they don't even know how much they're learning! We offer and encourage reading every day during quiet time, and our reading program offers incentives and rewards for summer reading.
Our third week of summer camp every year offers Vacation Bible School each morning. This is a fantastic opportunity for the children to hear and actively participate in the stories of the Bible, while learning and enagaging with our John Knox Presbyterian congregation volunteers.
Skill classes are divided by grade groups. Each week of summer camp, both an academic AND an activty class are assigned on the first day, and these classes meet each day of camp. Kids have the opportunity for autonomy and are able to choose the skill classes that most interest them. Examples of skill classes incude math, science, history, geography, cooking, tennis, painting, gardening, and many more!
Payments are due on Monday each week and we request that they are paif by using Zelle. Credit cards are also accepted, but there is a $5 processing fee associated with this method. The registration fee of $100 per child includes all activities associated with camp, meals and snacks, a camp T-shirt, a camp water bottle, and a camp drawstring bag.
